It seemed to be a perfect solution to our sinks open drain. It was also very affordable. After two months of having it, it is now starting to deteriorate. Things stick in the screen and do not rinse out easily, some things I have not been able to get out at all. The edges of the metal lip are already showing decay and it also has things that will not come off easily. It has turned out to be more work than I would have ever guessed. Well, more work if you don't like rotting food stuck on it.
However, if you are looking for a temporary and VERY affordable fix. This is perfect. I just wish the temporary fix would have lasted a little longer.
